Zekeriyaköy, Sarıyer: a remote-controlled bioclimatic pergola at a villa entrance
The brief
The villa's entrance was to be both a dry welcome area in the rain and a well-lit passage in the evening.
The solution
We built a remote-controlled bioclimatic pergola at the entrance, with concealed LED lighting on all four sides and a dimmer to set the light level. In the rain the louvres close and the entrance stays dry; on sunny days they open to let daylight in.
