On a zip screen the fabric is zipped into the rails at both edges; that is where the wind resistance comes from. But how the screen feels day to day — how much light passes, how much you see out, how air moves — is decided by the fabric.

Choosing a colour
- Dark colours (anthracite, black, dark grey): cut glare better and give a clearer view out.
- Light colours (white, cream, beige): reflect more solar heat and keep the space looking bright, but the view out is paler.
- Harmony: choose the fabric colour together with the pergola, frames and façade; profiles can also be painted in different colours.
Privacy at night
