There is no single price per m² for a zip screen; the size, fabric group (Serge Ferrari or Screen), motorised or manual operation, sensors and installation conditions set it together. Since the difference between motorised and manual is small, motorised usually makes more sense.
Why there is no single price per m²
"Zip screen price per m²" is one of the most searched questions. But two screens of the same area can cost differently, because on a zip screen the cassette, side rails and motor depend on the width and height. On a small screen, the cassette and motor cost weighs more per square metre.
What sets the price
| Item | Effect |
|---|---|
| Size (width × height) | Sets the cassette and rail section and the amount of fabric |
| Fabric group | Serge Ferrari or Screen fabric; colour and pattern from the digital catalogue |
| Motorised / manual | Small difference; motorised is chosen far more often |
| Sensors and control | Wind and sun sensors, wall switch, app |
| Number of screens | Several screens on one remote |
| Installation | Fixing to a pergola, wall or ceiling; power supply |
Motorised or manual?
There is only a small price difference between motorised and manual zip screens, and the manual mechanism is harder to use and more prone to problems. So when you weigh total cost and comfort together, motorised usually makes more sense. More in: motorised or manual?
