SkyArt offers three bioclimatic pergola options: EcoSky, which tilts in place, a piston system that tilts up to 110°, and a scissor system that retracts. The choice depends on how far you want to open the roof and how much maintenance you accept.
In short
As an Albert Genau authorised manufacturing dealer, SkyArt Group offers three types of bioclimatic pergola. Albert Genau is a Turkish brand based in Ankara; it does not manufacture itself but supplies profiles to its dealers, and the systems are built at authorised manufacturing dealers. We explain the brand in Albert Genau Istanbul dealer; here we compare the models.
How the three differ
| EcoSky (tilt) | Piston | Scissor | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Louvre movement | Tilts in place only | Tilts up to 110° on side pistons; can retract to the rear if wanted | Panels are linked; the rear motor pulls and the roof opens front to back |
| Electronics | Motorised | Mainboard and control card | No card, simpler |
| Opening the roof fully | No | Possible by retracting | Yes; a ventilation gap remains at the front |
| Best for | Those who want a lower-cost option | Roofs kept mostly closed or open in place | Those who want the roof fully open and a simpler system |
Which to choose
- Piston: suits you if you will keep the louvres in sun-shading, ventilation or rain positions and have maintenance done every 6 months. Take care if many leaves collect on top.
- Scissor: suits you if you want to see the sky and keep maintenance low.
- EcoSky: suits you if you want shade and rain protection on a lower budget.
In all three, one unit is at most 36 m² (maximum depth 10 m, rear width 7.80 m). Larger areas use several units. A voltage regulator is recommended, and the louvres should be closed in rain and wind.
The sides can be closed with guillotine glass or zip screens. For technical drawings see our DWG and PDF post. Book a free survey and we will choose the right one for your terrace together.
